Everything is ok.Since my problems began immediately after the malware was found I am assuming the problems are related to it. Thurs 9/21- I ran SFC to check if I had any corrupted system files. It stalls and I cannot get off the page until I load another entirely different program and then I can close out of the spywareblaster I am able to get to the page to manually update but am unable to click the manual update button. I could not manually update spywareblaster so I uninstalled and reinstalled. I uninstalled ccleaner as well as some other programs that had updated during this period (google chrome, dropbox). After rebooting, symantec notified of quarantined "Bloodhound.MalPE" virus. On Wed, 9/20, I did a system restore back to 9/14.
